C’era una volta un sogno, nato sul tatami e cresciuto tra i viaggi, le cadute e le vittorie di due uomini che avevano dedicato la loro vita al Ju Jitsu. Uno era il Maestro Robert Clark, fondatore della World Ju-Jitsu Federation. L’altro, il suo allievo più leale, compagno di mille battaglie: il Maestro Alan Campbell.
Insieme hanno attraversato il mondo, portando il messaggio della WJJF ovunque ci fosse sete di vera arte marziale. Era un sogno grande, puro, costruito con disciplina, rispetto e fedeltà alle regole antiche, quelle che nessun tempo può cancellare.
Poi, qualcosa si è spezzato.
Dopo la scomparsa prematura del Soke Clark, altri hanno cercato di prendere in mano quel sogno. Ma invece di custodirlo, lo hanno tradito, piegandolo a logiche che nulla hanno a che vedere con l’etica e la tradizione del Budo. Hanno riscritto le regole, dimenticando che certe regole non si cambiano. Si onorano.
E così, il Maestro Stefano Mancini — profondo conoscitore del vero spirito della WJJF e testimone diretto dell’epoca d’oro — ha fatto ciò che il cuore e la coscienza gli imponevano: ha riconsegnato la Hakama del Soke Robert Clark che custodiva, all’unico uomo che oggi può portarne il peso e l’onore.
Il Maestro Alan Campbell non è soltanto un erede. È il custode legittimo di un’eredità spirituale e tecnica. Colui che può continuare quel cammino interrotto, con la stessa dignità, la stessa passione, la stessa incrollabile fedeltà al sogno di Soke Clark.
Perché la Hakama non è solo un indumento.
È un simbolo.
E i simboli, nel Budo, non mentono mai.

A novembre, il Maestro Alan Campbell, con il supporto del Maestro Stefano Mancini, sarà impegnato in un tour attraverso l’Europa per promuovere e condividere la visione e i valori del Ju Jitsu tradizionale. Le date e i luoghi degli eventi verranno comunicati a breve.

The Return of the Hakama

Once upon a time, there was a dream, born on the tatami and nurtured through the journeys, the falls, and the victories of two men who had dedicated their lives to Ju Jitsu. One was Master Robert Clark, founder of the World Ju-Jitsu Federation. The other was his most loyal student, a companion through countless battles: Master Alan Campbell.
Together, they traveled the world, carrying the message of the WJJF wherever there was a thirst for true martial art. It was a great and pure dream, built with discipline, respect, and fidelity to the ancient rules, the kind that no passing time can erase.
Then, something broke.
After the untimely passing of Soke Clark, others tried to take hold of that dream. But instead of safeguarding it, they betrayed it, bending it to interests that had nothing to do with the ethics and tradition of Budo. They rewrote the rules, forgetting that some rules are not meant to be changed. They are meant to be honored.
And so, Master Stefano Mancini, a profound connoisseur of the true spirit of the WJJF and a direct witness to its golden age, did what heart and conscience compelled him to do: he returned the Hakama of Soke Robert Clark, which he had carefully preserved, to the only man who today can bear its weight and honor.
Master Alan Campbell is not merely an heir. He is the rightful custodian of a spiritual and technical legacy. The one who can continue that interrupted journey  with the same dignity, the same passion, and the same unshakable loyalty to Soke Clark’s dream.
Because the Hakama is not just a garment.
It is a symbol.
And in Budo, symbols never lie.

In November, Master Alan Campbell, with the support of Master Stefano Mancini, will embark on a tour across Europe to promote and share the vision and values of traditional Ju Jitsu. The dates and locations of the events will be announced soon.
